Judoka Aisha Kyialbekova has won a bronze medal at the Youth Olympic Games in Senegal. According to the federation for the sport, the athlete competed in the under-63 kilogram weight category.
The road to the Olympic medal
According to the federation, the 16-year-old Kyrgyz athlete went through several stages of the competition. In her first bout she defeated an athlete from Korea, but in the semifinal she lost to a German competitor.
The bronze medal was won in the bout for third place, where the Kyrgyz athlete defeated an athlete from Tunisia.
