According to President Sadyr Japarov, the country's gasification issues are resolved exclusively with Gazprom, since Kyrgyzstan does not own the gas system and cannot manage it. However, despite this, the president stressed that the agreement with Gazprom contains clauses obliging the company to allocate funds for gasifying the entire country, but these clauses have not yet been fulfilled.

Gasification obligations and Gazprom's role

During a meeting with residents of Aitmatov and Manas districts of Talas region, where a resident of Semetei village, Kurmanbek Takeev, asked for gasification of the border Manas district, the president again raised the topic. Japarov noted that he has been raising this issue with Gazprom for several years.

The president also mentioned that issues related to gas on the territory of Kyrgyzstan can be resolved only with Gazprom. He added that, in his opinion, by 2039 the value of one dollar could be up to 1 dollar.
