According to information published by the Ministry of Finance, the funds are provided for 2026 under the draft revised republican budget. The explanatory note to the draft, which the ministry published on October 30, confirms this information.
Basis for the allocation of funds and the structure of the prosecutor's office
The allocation of funds to create a specialized prosecutor's office for environmental protection was initiated on the basis of Cabinet of Ministers resolution No. 308-r of April 29, 2026, and a decision of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Finance, Budget, Entrepreneurship and Competition Development of May 19, 2026.
Implementation of the project on the ground
In connection with the allocation of funds, the Prosecutor General's Office has already begun establishing structures at the regional level. According to the legal entity registry of the Ministry of Justice, two subsidiary environmental prosecutor's offices were registered in late May 2026.
- The institution "Osh Environmental Prosecutor's Office" was registered on May 25, 2026.
- The institution "Bishkek Environmental Prosecutor's Office" was registered on May 26, 2026.

As part of the creation of the structures, heads were appointed: Cholponbai Abdyldaev heads the "Osh Environmental Prosecutor's Office," and Kubanychbek Nurullaev heads the "Bishkek Environmental Prosecutor's Office."
