The draft national budget provides that profit tax revenues in 2027 will reach 81.3 billion som. This amount is 42.9% higher than the figure approved for 2026. Total growth is expected at 24.4 billion som.
Expected growth in revenues by type of tax
A significant part of this increase comes from the income tax on mining companies. That tax is projected to grow 67%, rising by 19.5 billion som to reach 48.5 billion som. At the same time, profit tax itself is projected to increase 17.8%, amounting to 32.8 billion som.
Forecast for subsequent years
Besides 2027, the draft budget also sets out forecasts for the following periods: 95 billion som is expected in 2028 and 102.1 billion som in 2029. According to Ministry of Finance calculations, profit tax will account for 1.2% of GDP, and the income tax on mining companies for 1.6-1.8%.
For comparison, 54.9 billion som was actually received in 2025.
