The International Space Games, which took place from October 26 to November 1 in Moscow, saw students from Kyrgyzstan achieve recognition. The competition was held at the Skolkovo Innovation Center, where participants simulated a space mission on specialized "Martian stations." The activities required working in conditions closely approximating an autonomous space expedition, involving interaction with the Mission Control Center located at Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
Key Achievements and Participation Details
The games brought together over 250 students representing eight nations: Russia, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan.
Areas of Excellence
Specifically, the joint crew from Kyrgyzstan and China was recognized in the "Best Media Specialists" category. The Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov represented Kyrgyzstan with a full delegation for the first time, including crews for the space station, Mission Control Center operators, ground laboratory specialists, experts, and international jury representatives. The participation was supported by the Ministry of Science, Higher Education and Innovation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Simulation Scope
During the games, the students were tasked with ensuring the sustainable life support of an autonomous settlement on another planet. At one point, the KSTU team worked with Chinese participants to manage the "Angara" station, overseeing energy supply, communication, controlling a rover, and unmanned aerial vehicles, alongside conducting research in a biological laboratory.
