According to Sultan Raev, Secretary General of the international organization TURKSOY, the current situation in the world, marked by conflicts and information confrontations, requires special attention to the role of journalism. He stated that Kyrgyzstan needs to pay significant attention to training professional personnel proficient in several languages and to develop the institution of international journalism.

The role of journalism in the era of fakes and information wars

Raev noted that in current realities journalism is splitting into two camps, which he compared to an information war. According to him, one of the most acute problems today is fakeism, which, in his view, has become "spiritual terror," as the global internet space is flooded with false information.

The main mission of international journalism should be to unite people through words.
