1. Subject
The News.KG newsroom (the Newsroom) accepts photo and video material about events from users of the mobile app (the Author) and pays a reward when these terms are met. Sending material means the Author fully accepts these terms.
2. Material requirements
The material was filmed by the Author personally, belongs to one of the section's categories, shows a real event no older than 30 days and does not break the law. The Author states the date, place and a short description. Staged, fake, someone else's or off-topic material is not accepted.
3. Exclusivity
The Author undertakes not to pass the material to third parties (media, pages, channels, chats) before the reward is paid. If within 72 hours after approval the material appears in other sources, the Newsroom may cancel the reward.
4. Reward
The Newsroom sets the reward within the category range published in the section. It is paid to the details provided by the Author after the exclusivity period; the transfer confirmation (receipt) is available to the Author in the app. Material sent anonymously is not rewarded.
5. Rights
The Author grants the Newsroom free of charge (on top of the reward) a non-exclusive perpetual right to use the material on the Newsroom's websites, apps and social media, including editing, shortening and crediting it as "Photo/video: reader" or with the Author's name with their consent. Authorship stays with the Author.
6. Personal data
The Author's name, phone and payout details are used only to contact them about the material and to pay, and are never published. With an anonymous submission contacts are not stored. The Newsroom may blur faces and plates where the law requires.
7. Moderation and limits
The Newsroom may reject material without explaining editorial reasons. Off-topic, fake and spam submissions earn a warning; after five warnings submissions are closed.
8. Responsibility
The Author is responsible for the legality of filming and the accuracy of the information. The Newsroom does not encourage risk: the Author follows the law and safety rules.
9. Changes
The Newsroom may change these terms; material sent earlier is governed by the version in force when it was sent.
