Biography

Kuvanychbek Kongantiev is a former deputy of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic (VIII convocation) representing district No. 21. He serves as the director of the Central Asian Judo Zone and the chairman of the Board of the Union of Local Self-Governments. Previously, he held the position of deputy director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sport of the Kyrgyz Republic (17.12.2009–27.04.2010). Since 30.07.2021, he worked as the chairman of the 28th convocation of the Bishkek City Kenesh, and since 07.07.2022, he has been the chairman of the Board of the Union of Local Self-Governments of the Kyrgyz Republic. He is a member of the Atajurt Kyrgyzstan party.
