Ruslan Mukambetov

Biography

Ruslan Mukambetov is the Minister of Defense and a Major General of the Kyrgyz Republic. He served as the Commander of the South-West Operational Command of the Ministry of Defense of the KR starting from March 29, 2021. He was promoted to Major General on February 23, 2022. By October 3, 2023, he held the position of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and First Deputy Minister of Defense of the KR. Previously, he commanded the military unit No. 01003 of the Ministry of Defense until February 2022.
