Registration in the REX system gives exporters access to preferences under the European Union's Generalized System of Preferences, which may take the form of zero or reduced customs duties. Urmat Takirov, director of the Kyrgyz Export center for export development and promotion, said this at a press conference.
Export acceleration and business digitalization
As part of the export accelerator, enterprises undergo individual diagnostics with the participation of both international and local experts. Based on this work, an improvement plan is developed for each company, covering production processes, marketing, and compliance with social and environmental standards.
Results have also been achieved in business digitalization: 17 companies have created LinkedIn pages, six have registered domain names for corporate websites, and six already have active websites. Five enterprises are in the process of creating web resources.
How Kyrgyz Export works
Urmat Takirov, director of the Kyrgyz Export center for export development and promotion, noted that the center acts as the national authorized body for registering exporters in the REX system. Companies seeking to supply products to the European Union can receive consultations at the center.
