A working meeting was held to discuss the introduction of medicinal plants into agriculture. It was attended by staff of the National Academy of Sciences and the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University.
Agronomic aspects discussed and next steps
During the meeting, participants reviewed all stages of cultivating medicinal crops included in the list of agricultural crops. Aspects such as seed preparation and sowing, plant care methods, irrigation, harvesting and subsequent storage were discussed.

- Development of technological maps taking into account the biological characteristics of each plant
- Consideration of soil and climatic conditions and cultivation technologies
- Preparation of scientifically substantiated recommendations
- Expanding the use of medicinal plants in agriculture
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached that specialists will prepare proposals for the development of the necessary technological maps and will continue work in this area.
