Urmat Takirov, Director of the Kyrgyz Export Center for Export Development and Promotion, said that preparing to enter new export markets was one of the accelerator's key objectives. A total of 31 domestic enterprises took part in the program.
Preparing for the European market and training enterprises
The main goal of the accelerator is to prepare Kyrgyz garment enterprises to work with the markets of the European Union and the Middle East. During the training, company owners and executives studied the requirements of foreign markets and also mastered standards in several areas.
- marketing specifics
- production standards
- certification
- product characteristics
- social and environmental standards
To improve participants' qualifications, the training module brought in two international experts from India who have experience working with major global brands, including Nike, H&M and Zara. Participants worked with the experts for about a month.
Stages of work and potential assessment
After the training, an individual assessment stage was held. Fifteen companies were selected for it, recognized as having the highest production and export potential. International and local experts analyzed the operations of these enterprises and prepared individual recommendations for improving each one's performance.
