Developing small business and the services sector
As part of the first phase of the Ala-Too Resort mountain cluster, the emphasis is on supporting entrepreneurship. Local residents preparing guest houses and cafes can take advantage of preferential loans from the Issyk-Kul Development Fund. In addition, the question of leasing both land plots and municipal facilities to entrepreneurs is under consideration.
Expanding tourism potential
Along with skiing, local residents are invited to jointly develop ethno- and ecotourism. This will help attract visitors throughout the year. Kanat Kaldaraliev, head of the Ak-Suu district of the Issyk-Kul region, stressed that tourists should get to know other unique features of the region, and not only vacation at Ala-Too Resort.
Initiatives and consultations for business
For those who want to start or grow their business, the Ak-Suu Development Forum has been organized. At such events, government bodies and experienced tourism institutions provide consultations and recommendations to local residents. Similar forums are planned for next year as well.
