The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reports new entry requirements for the Arab Republic of Egypt for citizens of Central Asia, including Kyrgyzstan. These rules take effect on November 1, 2026, and remain in force until further notice.
Requirements for tourists traveling through tour operators
For Kyrgyz citizens planning to travel to Egypt as part of tourist groups or through travel companies, the following conditions are established:
- Persons aged 16 to 40 must travel accompanied by one of their immediate family members (father, mother, spouse or child).
- Travelers must carry cash. The minimum amount for one person is $3,000.
- If a family travels together as a single group, the minimum amount of cash they must carry increases to $5,000 per family.
Entry procedure for independent travelers
Citizens planning a trip to Egypt without a tour operator must take a number of steps in advance. According to information from Egypt's competent authorities, they must obtain entry visas through the Egyptian Embassy in Astana or another authorized Egyptian diplomatic mission abroad, as well as obtain prior clearance from Egypt's competent security authorities.
Summary of financial requirements
The changes apply only to Kyrgyz citizens and take effect on the specified date.
