Kyrgyzstan made a voluntary contribution of $1 million to the trust fund of the UN Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA). This was announced on November 4 by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev at the SPECA Economic Forum held in Bishkek.
Economic Achievements and Prospects for Regional Development
In addition to the contribution, the head of the Cabinet noted a number of positive economic indicators for the country. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), at the end of 2025 Kyrgyzstan ranked among the four countries in the world with the highest GDP growth rates.
In addition, in 2025 the country entered the international capital market for the first time, placing debut eurobonds worth $700 million.
Transport Connectivity and Integration
In the context of developing regional trade, the head of the Cabinet focused on transport connectivity. He noted that the landlocked status of the region's countries increases the distance to markets and requires the search for joint routes.
- The European Union removed Kyrgyzstan's air carriers from its aviation safety "black list."
- Construction of the China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway will shorten cargo delivery times and expand the region's transit potential.
