During a working trip to the Chui region, President Sadyr Japarov stated that the specialized educational institution located at the intersection of Panfilov and Lev Tolstoy streets in Bishkek will be relocated to Vorontsovka once the construction of the new facility is completed.

Reasons for relocation and building condition

Minister of Education Dogdurkul Kedirbaeva explained that the current school building was constructed back in 1939 and is in unsatisfactory condition. According to her, major repairs are impossible, and the living conditions for students do not meet modern requirements.

Minister of Construction, Architecture, and Housing and Communal Services of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurdun Oruntaev added that the current school occupies a plot of less than one hectare and consists of two old buildings.

Parameters and current situation

240children studying

Despite appeals from parents requesting to keep the school in its current location, authorities plan to create a modern rehabilitation center at the new site. The project provides for special sensory and tactile environments, as well as the possibility of organizing a bus for transporting children and housing for teachers.
