According to the resident, the enterprise's activities are negatively affecting the environment and public health. Residents complain about air pollution, making it impossible to sleep with open windows in the summer, and noting that plants are growing poorly.
Issues obtaining an audience
Sabyrzhan Batyrkulov noted that he planned to personally voice the problem to Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Japarov during his recent visit to the Sokuluk district. However, due to the large crowds, he was unable to ask his question.
"President S. Japarov came to meet with the residents of the Sokuluk district. I wanted to ask our president a question and voice our problem. However, there were too many people, and I could not get through."
History of the plant's establishment
According to the local resident, the plant was built by foreign investors under the previous administration. He claims that the leadership at the time organized a signature collection to create the appearance of public consent for the project. Initially, the enterprise operated without noticeable consequences, but after several years, the environmental situation began to deteriorate.
Despite inspections and fines issued by the akimat and the eco-technical inspection, the problem remains urgent.
