To address the sewage problem in Moldovanovka village, the wastewater treatment plant construction project will be expanded. President Sadyr Japarov announced this while answering residents' questions.

Difficulties arising with connecting residents

A Moldovanovka resident noted that because two- and three-storey buildings stand close to one another, installing individual septic tanks will not solve the problem. In addition, the ayil okmotu's ability to build social facilities is limited, since all the land in the village is on the balance sheet of the State Penitentiary Service.

The sewage system project, initially prepared and passed through state expert review, ran into the problem of the absence of a suitable land plot for building the wastewater treatment plant.

Position of the agencies on resolving the problem

A new military unit and buildings of the Security and Convoy Department of the State Penitentiary Service are currently being constructed on the territory of the colony in Moldovanovka. The project provides for the construction of wastewater treatment facilities, but their capacity is designed only for the needs of the institution's staff.

Nevertheless, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utilities Nurdan Oruntaev said he was ready to revise the wastewater treatment plant project to take account of the village residents' needs.
