Over the nine months of 2026, the technical and legal labor inspectorate of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan investigated 94 workplace accidents. According to the federation's press service, the investigated incidents included fatal cases as well as accidents that injured two or more people.
Main causes of workplace incidents
The inspectorate noted that incidents most often occur at construction sites due to failure to comply with safety rules on site. At plants and factories, the cause may be violations of the technological process and human error. In addition, road traffic accidents are recorded in almost all sectors, most often group accidents in which several people are injured.
Purpose of the inspectorate's work
According to representatives of the organization, participation in the investigation of accidents is a responsible area of the technical inspectorate's activity. The main task of inspectors is not only to establish the causes of incidents but also to help create conditions so that such tragedies do not recur.
