The technical and legal inspection of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Kyrgyz Republic conducted 47 calculations of compensation for damages and labor disputes over the first nine months of 2026. According to 24.kg, the total calculated compensation amounted to 26 million 547.2 thousand soms.
Labor Rights Protection and Monitoring Efforts
The union emphasized that this work is socially significant, enabling workers to obtain compensation for damages and defend their legal interests. Beyond calculations, the union actively engaged in legal proceedings to uphold labor law.
During monitoring across 1,400 organizations, a total of 2,571 technical violations and 725 legal violations were identified. Consequently, 813 technical and 405 legal directives were issued to rectify the detected breaches and restore legality.
Legal Advocacy
In addition to monitoring, the union's legal work involved preparing and submitting 11 claims and participating in 23 court hearings on technical matters and 38 court hearings on legal matters. Participation in these court processes helps defend the rights of specific workers and achieve the restoration of legality in labor relations.
