Former Central Mosque of Bishkek Removed from Architectural Monuments List

The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the state list of historical and cultural monuments of Kyrgyzstan by removing the former central mosque of Bishkek from its protected status. This building, which has already been dismantled, is slated for a new, modern mosque construction on the same site.
