Biography

Maksat Asanaliev is the Acting Chairman of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic and a Major General of Justice. He graduated from KGNU with a degree in law. Throughout his career, he served as an investigator in the Investigative Department of the GKNB (2001–2003), and later worked as a senior investigator on especially important cases in the Investigative Department of the GKNB (2004–2010). He held various positions within the General Prosecutor's Office, including Head of the Internal Investigations Department (2015–2018). As of 2024, he held the position of Prosecutor General of the Kyrgyz Republic.
