At the roundtable held on November 3, the possibility of construction companies buying out municipal land plots that had previously been leased was discussed. However, the municipality's press service confirmed that the city hall does not plan to sell such land.

Issues discussed and the municipality's position

The meeting, attended by representatives of the Ministry of Construction, the Union of Builders of Kyrgyzstan, the JIA business association and construction companies, touched on several key topics. First Deputy Mayor of Bishkek Kubanychbek Imanaliev set out the municipality's position on the sale of land.

Changes in regulation and land use

  • The possibility of revising restrictions for freight transport in hot weather
  • An initiative to raise the temperature threshold for restrictions from +28 to +35 degrees
  • Discussion of simplifying the procedure for transforming agricultural land located in Bishkek and designated for construction under the general plan
  • Proposals to establish uniform requirements for the scope of work for developers in improving areas adjacent to construction sites

Following the event, the city hall drew up a list of issues requiring further consideration.
