Bishkek residents report problems with public transport, noting a shortage of buses in a number of districts. The main demands of city residents concern opening new routes, extending existing ones and ensuring on-request stops.

Main problems with routes and stops

  • There is no direct bus route on the Shcherbakova St. - Botalieva - TsUM - Vefa Center direction, despite the large number of people living and working in this area
  • Residents of Gazgorodok in the Dostuk microdistrict ask that the possibility of service along Borodina St. with access to Profsoyuznaya St. and then to Zhibek Zholu Ave. be considered
  • It is noted that after the cancellation of minibuses No. 192, 185, 193, 117 and 288, no corresponding transport was provided as a replacement, although the population in these districts is significant
  • Drivers of bus No. 52 often do not stop at the intersection of Sukhe-Batora and Gapar Aitiev streets (the old road)

Problems with replacing cancelled routes

Particular concern is caused by the lack of replacement transport for routes that were cancelled. For example, residents point to the need to provide connections with the bypass road and the Dordoi-1 and Dordoi-2 residential areas.
