Bishkek will continue work to increase dedicated lanes for public transport. According to information received on air

Current situation and transport plans

The main problem reported by residents is the significant time intervals between buses, which can stretch to 35–50 minutes, although they should be 10–15 minutes. Analysis showed that intervals are maintained in places with dedicated lanes, so it was proposed to expand their network to ensure scheduled service.

Bus fleet renewal and route network

The city operates 86 bus routes, 10 of which are served by small Isuzu buses assembled in Uzbekistan. In addition, on 26 routes that appeared after the administrative-territorial reform and the annexation of suburban areas, passengers are carried by minibuses.

In this regard, the head of the department for transport and road-transport infrastructure development of the capital's mayor's office noted that there is a need to purchase the missing rolling stock. Companies that manufacture vehicles have already provided one bus each for testing. The procurement issue is under consideration.
