On November 4, an awareness event on reducing the number of road accidents was organized in Aravan district. The event was held jointly with officers of the Road Safety Department of Osh region on the district's central streets.
Large-scale road safety events
The chief of staff of the Main Road Safety Directorate of the Interior Ministry, Bakhrom Saidkhodjaev, said that similar awareness runs are planned throughout the country. After Aravan district in Osh region, the events will continue in Jalal-Abad region, as well as in the cities of Manas and Talas region.
According to the chief of staff of the Main Road Safety Directorate of the Interior Ministry, an overall reduction in the number of road traffic accidents was recorded in Kyrgyzstan over the past nine months.
