During a meeting on road accident prevention held in Aravan district, statistics on road traffic injuries in the country were presented. According to information received on November 4, 3,624 road accidents were recorded in Kyrgyzstan in the first 9 months of 2026.

According to the data, 572 people died in the country during the reporting period, and 4,947 people suffered injuries of varying severity. Statistics on mopeds and scooters were noted separately: 380 road accidents involving these vehicles were registered in 9 months of 2026, killing 27 people and injuring 419.
Causes and safety measures
In particular, taxi drivers were at fault in 37 road traffic accidents that claimed the lives of 8 people and injured 43. The chief of staff of the Main Road Safety Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Bakhrom Saidkhodjaev, urged drivers to strictly observe traffic rules and not exceed the established speed limit, emphasizing that the safety of life depends on every road user.
