According to Mikhail Petrov, the country has significant coal reserves that can be used to produce gasoline. Coal that is unsuitable for household needs or for the operation of combined heat and power plants can serve as the raw material.

Need to develop energy resources

The expert stressed that it is important for Kyrgyzstan to use its existing energy resources more efficiently. The proposal calls for bringing into production those coal reserves that currently remain largely unused.

Key points of the proposal

  • Establish gasoline production from low-grade Kara-Keche coal
  • More actively develop the country's own coal deposits
  • Develop raw material processing to improve the efficiency of energy resource use

The initiative aims to obtain a valuable product — gasoline — from raw material that is not used for household needs or at combined heat and power plants.
