According to Myktybek Kalandarov, director of the Department of Pedigree Livestock Breeding, Pastures and Feed of the Ministry of Agriculture, support mechanisms for farms are currently being developed. These measures concern both livestock breeding and stabilizing milk prices.

Refunds for poultry and support for the dairy sector

The following calculation was presented as an example of a subsidy scheme for chickens: a farmer buys a day-old chick for 60–80 som, raises it and, after selling it, receives a refund from the state of about 20 som per head.

Discussion of compensation for the fall in milk prices

In addition, the issue of compensating farmers for the seasonal decline in milk purchase prices is being discussed. Kalandarov noted that in spring the purchase price may fall to 25–30 som per liter, whereas the lower limit that must be taken into account is 35–40 som.

According to Kalandarov, the difference between the actual price and the minimum required price should be covered by the state, and this compensation should ultimately reach the farmer. However, it should be emphasized that the final mechanism has not yet been approved.
