On November 4, a fire was recorded at the private Lady Clinic maternity hospital in Osh. Reports say smoke quickly filled the premises, causing panic among women giving birth, some of whom had to evacuate with their newborns.
Scale of the incident and consequences of the fire
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations press service, the fire started in an open area, presumably from doors and electrical cables stacked there. The fire covered a total area of about 50 square meters.
As a result of the incident, windows were damaged in two rooms on the second floor and two rooms on the third floor of the Lady clinic. In addition, a private notary's office located on the first floor, with an area of 56 square meters, burned out completely. Furniture, computers and work documents in the notary's office were damaged.
Procedure for eliminating the consequences
Two crews from Fire and Rescue Unit No. 12 of the Osh city department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in extinguishing the fire. The fire was completely put out by 16:08. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there were neither dead nor injured as a result of the incident.
