According to the Main Road Safety Directorate of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Internal Affairs, the incident involving four cars occurred on November 5, 2026, in Talas region. Reports of the incident were received by the duty unit of the Talas district police department, where an investigative and operational team was immediately dispatched.
How events unfolded and what caused the accident
According to preliminary investigation data, the Toyota Camry was traveling along the Zherge-Tal — Kalba road from south to north. The driver lost control and steered the foreign car into the oncoming lane.
Consequences of the collision
The Toyota Camry, which sped into the oncoming lane, caused a chain-reaction accident. Several vehicles were damaged in the collision: the driver of an oncoming Honda Accord tried to avoid the impact, sharply veered west and crashed into a tree. The Toyota Camry then slammed into a Kia Soul traveling behind it and then clipped the right side of a Honda Civic, continuing its uncontrolled movement.
Circumstances identified during the inspection
The inspection established that the man behind the wheel of the Toyota Camry had previously been officially stripped of his driving license. All necessary examinations have now been ordered in connection with the incident, and a full-scale investigation is underway. In addition, an internal inquiry has been launched to assess the lawfulness of measures taken earlier.
