The increase in the cost of liquefied gas for households is linked to a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 31, 2026. The new gas price will include value added tax.
Price changes and support measures for citizens
According to the data, the retail price of liquefied gas for households will rise from 2 thousand som (about 14.5 som) to 5 thousand som (about 36.3 som) per kilogram. At the same time, the maximum cost of delivering gas to households by LPG-Trade is set at 1 thousand 300 som (about 9.4 som) per kilogram including VAT, while the economically justified delivery costs will be covered by state subsidies.
Compensation for low-income families
A compensation of 3 thousand som (about 21.8 som) is being introduced for families in need for each kilogram of gas purchased. This compensation will not exceed a limit of 20 kilograms per month. The funds will be transferred to social cards after the purchase is confirmed.
Prospects for developing the gas market
Support will be available to families included in the Social Register, as well as other families meeting the established eligibility criteria. Assistance is also envisaged for families with orphaned children and children left without parental care. The Ministry of Economy and Finance, together with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, must prepare proposals on the further development of the liquefied gas market and price liberalization by May 1, 2027. Moreover, support may be provided until January 1, 2030.
