Kyrgyzstan has returned a citizen wanted in Spain. Kyrgyzstan's Prosecutor General's Office reported the return of citizen A.A., who was on the international wanted list, thanks to cooperation with the competent authorities of Spain.

Reasons for the search and detention

According to the investigation, A.A. left the country in order to avoid criminal liability. The reason that served as the basis for the search was causing harm to the victim's health.

Next steps

After the return, the detainee was brought to Kyrgyzstan accompanied by officers of the Interior Ministry and handed over to the investigative authorities. The Prosecutor General's Office also stressed that work continues on the search for and extradition of persons hiding abroad from criminal liability.
