The financial agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture and the ADB was finalized to support the preliminary feasibility study (TЭО) for an integrated agro-industrial park. This initiative, announced by Damira Askarbekova, head of the Department of Development of the Processing Industry of the Ministry of Agriculture, is set to guide the park's structure and investment strategy.

Project Scope and Economic Goals

The primary goal of the project is to facilitate deep processing and create added value within the country. The park is envisioned as a unified production system, managing everything from raw materials to the final sale of goods.

  • The park will incorporate processing capacities, cold storage and warehouse complexes, a quality control laboratory, and engineering and service infrastructure.
  • It aims to unite farmers and processors, thereby reducing costs and improving product quality.
  • The project is expected to increase the output of high added-value products, generate jobs, and expand exports.

Key Outcomes and Timeline

Following the work carried out, the parameters of the park, priority production areas, infrastructure needs, and financing mechanisms will be determined. The Ministry of Agriculture views the park as a means to boost the economy by creating jobs and increasing exports. As stated by Damira Askarbekova, the results of the project will be assessed after five years based on the number of jobs and the volume of processed products.
