Cycling Infrastructure Development and Participant Awards
Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzunushaliev participated in the cycling ride. Upon completing the distance, he officially announced the close of the season and emphasized the significance of bicycles as eco-friendly transport. At the same time, the city head acknowledged that the current network of lanes requires expansion.
"We understand that the existing infrastructure is not yet sufficient. It is necessary to continue creating conditions so that cyclists can move safely around the city without causing inconvenience to pedestrians and other road users."
As part of the event, a raffle for six bicycles was held. Among the awardees were seven-year-old Amir Akimov, who received his prize personally from the mayor, and a participant with a disability, Argen Taktanbekov, who had been promised a bicycle since the season opening on May 1.
