According to the project developed by the agency, funds will be directed not only toward the purchase of livestock and equipment but also toward the construction of facilities for stall-fed animal housing. The document is currently in the coordination stage with other ministries.
Who can receive subsidized loans
Several categories of market participants will be eligible for 3% loans. These include farms with breeding status, as well as farmers engaged in livestock fattening or the construction of specialized facilities.
- Purchase of breeding livestock
- Acquisition of artificial insemination equipment
- Import of animals
- Construction of livestock housing facilities
Previously, subsidized terms applied only to livestock purchases and technical equipment, excluding capital construction. Additionally, horse breeding farms recently gained eligibility for subsidized lending.
Milk yield indicators
The Ministry aims to incentivize farmers to transition to stall-fed housing to increase animal productivity. For comparison, current milk yield indicators vary significantly depending on housing conditions.
Context
The initiative was announced by Myktybekkalandarov, Head of the Livestock and Veterinary Department of the Ministry of Agriculture. The Chui region, home to more than 1.1 million people, hosts some of the country's most productive breeding farms.
