Starting in 2027, 97 pasture users of pastures located in Tyup district will be relocated to the Sary-Jaz jailoo. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, this pasture area has not been used for 30 years.
Measures to bring pastures back into use and improve infrastructure
The relocation of users to Sary-Jaz is intended to bring abandoned pastures back into active use, which in turn should reduce pressure on nearby pastures.
Preparing the area and the road network
As part of preparations for the use of Sary-Jaz in Tyup district, near the villages of Sary-Bulun and Yntymak, work was carried out to sow barren plots with grasses using mechanized methods. In addition, to provide access to Sary-Jaz, the Ministry of Emergency Situations built two bridges — 140 and 70 meters long — and repaired a 50–60 km stretch of road.
Additional infrastructure work
According to the ministry, providing the road network at the Sary-Jaz and Zhaak jailoos will require the repair of about 112 km of roads. Construction of 20 bridges is also planned at the Chymyndy-Sai jailoo.
