Work was carried out in Kyrgyzstan to identify and legalize unauthorized construction sites. According to Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utilities Nurdan Oruntaev, more than 200 illegal construction sites were identified, of which about 190 were legalized.
Measures to address unfinished and illegal construction
As part of this work, the ministry adopted decisions on unauthorized construction sites, which allowed citizens to officially register and begin using their housing. In addition, more than 40 sites were identified where construction work was fully suspended.
Results of work on construction sites
To ensure uninterrupted work at troubled unfinished construction projects, an external management mechanism is currently being applied. This decision is aimed at protecting the interests of equity investors and compelling companies to complete construction. The construction company "Doolot Kurulush" was cited as an example of such a site.
