Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurdan Oruntaev commented on the reliability of real estate investments and the problem of unfinished construction. According to him, not a single citizen who has invested in shared construction will be left without an apartment or the money they paid, since the state undertakes to take all necessary measures to protect the rights of every homebuyer.
Control measures and protection of homebuyers
The head of the Ministry of Construction noted that investment in construction carried out strictly within the framework of the law is absolutely safe, since the construction sector is a key economic factor in the republic. However, he also pointed to the difficulties faced by some companies, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, when the suspension of work and a sharp rise in material prices created problems.
In this regard, as a regulator, the agency is introducing external management at certain sites and placing a number of companies under strict control. The minister stressed his intention to see this work through to the end and to consistently resolve the problem at each site.
Safety of investment in lawful construction
According to Kabar, the minister also clarified that the "frozen" sites are mainly buildings whose construction began between 2018 and 2021.
