Confirmation of the equipment deployment was provided by the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM). Representatives of these commands said the air defense systems and counter-drone measures were deployed at the request of the U.S. Secret Service, which is responsible for protecting the president.

"These assets provide an additional layer of protection. For operational security reasons, we cannot provide further details"
the U.S. military said.

The Secret Service emphasized that it operates under a heightened threat level and continuously improves protective measures for those it safeguards.
