An accident involving an ambulance has been recorded in Bishkek. The incident occurred at the intersection of Ankara and Zhukeyev-Pudovkin streets.
Circumstances of the incident
According to Yegor Borisov, director of the Bishkek Emergency Medical Center, the ambulance was traveling with its sirens and flashing lights on. The crash occurred as the vehicle was moving along Zhukeyev-Pudovkin Street toward the city center.
Consequences for people and vehicles
As a result of the collision, the ambulance worker suffered neck ligament injuries. The pregnant woman being transported was found to be healthy, and her condition is assessed as good.
Four vehicles were involved: the ambulance, a Toyota Camry, a Honda Inspire and a Volkswagen. After the collision, all four vehicles were struck and continued moving on momentum.
Further actions
All four vehicles were impounded for examination. Police are currently documenting all the circumstances of the incident, and forensic examinations have been ordered.
