The issue of completing the apartment building whose construction was suspended is being resolved in Bishkek. Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utilities Nurdan Oruntayev examined the condition of the site at 121B Michurina Street in Bishkek and met with the shareholders.
Details of the suspended construction
The residential complex in question includes two blocks and is designed for 169 apartments. Construction work on the site began in 2021 by Expert Stroy LLC and Gidrotekhstroy LLC. However, for various reasons the construction companies halted the work, and the shareholders have still not received their apartments, according to the Ministry of Construction.
Possible ways to resume work
During the inspection, the minister heard the citizens' problems and discussed possible scenarios for resuming construction with them. Nurdan Oruntayev proposed that the shareholders consider the option of completing construction with state support. To implement this proposal, the shareholders themselves must discuss it and reach a common decision. If the shareholders agree, external management will be introduced over the construction companies' operations.
Measures to address violations
In addition, the ministry will send the relevant materials to law enforcement agencies. This will be done to conduct a legal assessment of the violations identified in the construction companies' operations, as well as the facts of failure to fulfill obligations to the shareholders.
