A modern plant designed for washing and processing coal raw materials is being built at the Agulak deposit. As Rustambek Sadyraliev, General Director of OJSC Kyrgyzkomur, reported on Birinchi Radio, the project is being implemented by a private investor using their own funds.

Technology and development plans

The main task of the new facility is to separate fine coal fractions from large ones and subsequently wash them. If the project at Agulak is successfully implemented, authorities plan to scale this experience to the Kara-Kech deposit and other sites, as well as include similar initiatives in the government plan.

We are attempting to separate fine coal fractions from large ones and wash the coal. A coal washing and processing plant is being built at the Agulak deposit. The total cost of the project is more than 300 million som.
Rustambek Sadyraliev, General Director of OJSC Kyrgyzkomur

In addition to processing, the company is considering coal briquetting. This will allow fuel to be packaged in 3 kg and 5 kg units, making it available for purchase not only in wholesale tons but also in smaller volumes. Last year, the enterprise already conducted trials for producing briquettes from fine coal.

Context

A coal sorting and processing plant is already operational at the Torugart-1 deposit, which also belongs to OJSC Kyrgyzkomur.
