The Ministry of Construction of Kyrgyzstan plans to complete the construction of a five-story residential building in the Archa-Beshik residential area in Bishkek, which has been unable to be completed for ten years. This was reported by the agency's press service.
Meeting with equity holders and agency plans
On November 8, Deputy Minister of Construction Bakay Turdugulov visited the unfinished site at 15 Aksy Street and held a meeting with equity holders. Citizens waiting for housing requested the ministry to take control of the construction and complete the works.
Site parameters
According to the Ministry of Construction, the building was being erected by the developer Alliance Kurulush Plus without the necessary permits, and work was repeatedly suspended. Construction began back in 2016.
Deputy Minister Bakay Turdugulov stated that after the building is transferred to the ministry's jurisdiction, the main task will be the resettlement of people. However, he emphasized that the apartment prices fixed in contracts from ten years ago differ significantly from current construction costs, and this issue requires resolution.
According to the agency, the next step will be the processing of documents to transfer the site to the Ministry of Construction. Following this, specialists will conduct a technical inspection of the building to determine the condition of the structures and measures to resume work.
Context
Construction is being carried out in the Archa-Beshik residential area in Bishkek. The developer of the site was the company Alliance Kurulush Plus.
