Bishkek is holding its autumn campaign to green the capital. According to the Bishkek Mayor's Office, an environmental tree-planting event was held on October 31, 2026, with the participation of Mayor Aibek Junushaliev. Saplings were planted at various locations across the city during the event, and activists and young people also took part.
Focus on irrigation and improvement of districts
Mayor Aibek Junushaliev emphasized that trees can be planted only where an irrigation system is provided. He noted that in Bishkek, trees will not be planted in places where there is no automated irrigation system or no irrigation at all.
