13-year-old Azalia Alymbaeva is undergoing rehabilitation after treatment for a rare congenital disease. After surgeries performed in Russia and Turkey, the girl was operated on in April 2026 at a university clinic in the German city of Halle. However, serious complications arose after this intervention, requiring emergency repeat surgery.

Severe consequences and current condition

During the emergency repeat surgery, Azalia's heart stopped for two minutes. Although the girl was resuscitated, she spent three weeks in a coma. As a result of these events, two areas of the brain responsible for vision and musculoskeletal functions were damaged.

Progress in rehabilitation

Azalia's recovery required lengthy and costly neurological rehabilitation. After several months of treatment in Germany, the parents moved their daughter to the Russian clinic "Tri Sestry," where she continues to recover. The first positive changes are being observed: the girl has learned to hold her head up briefly on her own, has begun making sounds through a voice valve, and can slightly raise her left arm.

Among the progress: she has begun to follow objects with her eyes better and for longer, and to respond more often by blinking to our questions. We see the results of the rehabilitation and therefore want to continue it

Due to the need to continue treatment and rehabilitation, Azalia Alymbaeva's parents are raising funds to provide further support for their daughter.
