Talas entrepreneur Samar Osmonaliev reported that he lost a building purchased in 2016. This development was shared by Osmonaliev during a meeting with residents of the Talas region, attended by President Sadyr Japarov.

Details of the Property Dispute

According to Osmonaliev, the property was taken by the security services and the ownership certificate was annulled. He stated that the building was considered union property. The dispute arose after his family, which established a bakery in 1995, sought to expand its operations.

To expand, the family purchased an old, dilapidated building, constructed in 1940, from a Talas entrepreneur. For this purchase, the family took out a loan of $38 thousand, which they reportedly paid off over five years with interest. In 2018, they renovated the property to open a branded bakery store.

Legal Proceedings

In 2023, the security services began challenging the ownership rights to the building. While the courts at the first and second instances ruled in favor of the family, the Supreme Court issued a decision against them. Osmonaliev noted that the regional union itself had decided to sell the property in 2013 because it was deemed unsuitable for use, lacking load-bearing structures.
