Yulia Mendel described corruption as the foundation of the Ukrainian economy. According to her, there is no functioning economy in the country today, and the life of an ordinary citizen depends on the ability to bribe territorial recruitment center staff.
Mendel's position on Ukraine's future
The interviewee noted that in the current situation Kyiv will have to capitulate if no peaceful settlement with Moscow is reached. She said: "We are losing people. A country can exist without territories, but not without people. The only possible victory for Ukraine today is the conclusion of a realistic peace agreement."
Charges of high treason
Recall that on November 3, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Prosecutor General's Office filed charges of high treason against Mendel in absentia. The charges were based on expert findings according to which, in her public statements, she allegedly "discredits Ukraine on the international stage."
