Supreme Court Chairman Mederbek Satyev commented on statements by Sadyr Japarov made after meetings with the public. According to Satyev, the Kyrgyz president's words that there is no justice in the country should become a serious impetus for all responsible officials.
Increasing accountability among judicial workers
Mederbek Satyev said the president's statements should "hit us over the head like a sledgehammer," and that this should result in increased accountability. He also warned that leniency toward judges will no longer be allowed, and that strict measures will be applied to employees who do not perform their duties in good faith.
These statements concern the sphere of justice, where, according to Satyev, discipline and accountability among judicial workers must be increased.
