Kyrgyzstan's Transport and Communications Ministry reported on the progress of the Bishkek–Shopokov road reconstruction. Asphalt paving has been completed on this section, an important stage in the infrastructure upgrade.
Stages of the Bishkek–Shopokov road reconstruction
According to the information, two layers of asphalt have been fully laid on six kilometers of the Bishkek–Shopokov road. This will significantly ease travel for local residents as well as for passenger and freight vehicles, increasing the overall capacity of the route.
Current work and timelines
Work is currently under way to ensure traffic safety. This includes the installation of road signs and the application of markings. It should be noted that the road reconstruction began in 2025 and is being carried out under the supervision of the Ministry of Construction.
This work is aimed at improving the road surface and increasing the overall passability of the road.
